Odds N Ends

We had some issues with the blog the last few weeks. It seems that someone thought it would be cute to add malware to it. We’ve been working to fix it, but for now keeping the post short and sweet. We we went to watch his babysitter play Cherry in The Outsiders. She was outstanding …

B XMAS

Last weekend, we celebrated our first Christmas. We had a great time and I know someone was super happy…major nerf gun and Legos. Could a boy ask for more. We are truly blessed to have such amazing grandparents in his life.

Black Belt

Zachary is officially a black belt. We couldn’t be more proud of him. It’s been a long four years full of two a week practices, multiple competitions and work at home. But we’re most proud that he followed through on a goal.

Basketball

Last week, we officially kicked off basketball.  And somehow, mommy got nabbed to be the head coach….or as the boy says, “mom, you’ll be a great coach, tough but fair”.   The first week of practice went fairly well. Six really good players and one that had never played, but is athletic.   I can …

XMAS Rush

Whew, the last few weeks have been daunting.  School, basketball practice, karate black belt test and, of course, the much anticipated arrival of Christmas.   We’ve been nibbling at our Christmas list, slowly but surely.  The boy’s big wish list this year, nerf and video games.  Where did the days of Tonka Ttucks and Race …

Beach Day

To unwind from Turkey Day, we made a quick trip to the beach.  Thankfully Santa was arriving into town that very day Ocean City at Christmas, extra special Nice way to kick off the holiday season

Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday.  There was much preparation, everyone lent a hand.  Our favorite Great Grandmom had the gravy tasting like perfection. We sat down to a delicious meal And after a quick clean up, the games began.  Who knew Great Grandmom is a ringer…and the boys, well the boys, will be boys with …

Santa

Will the real Santa please stand up, please stand up,  please stand up.   Last weekend, Z casually mentioned that certain Santas couldn’t be real. I mean “how could he possibly be in a thousand places at once”.  So, we broke and told him that certain Santas are indeed not real but they do work …

Black Belt

It has been a long 4 1/2 years from when we first started karate. It started as a pensive little guy who was afraid to get up in front of the group.  Over the years, the boy has transformed into a confident lad and in many ways a leader. There have been two a week …

Odds N Ends

It’s been a busy few days.  Bella had tooth surgery and came home pretty much out of it. Our favorite was the drunk sailor look, with her body hanging precariously off the sofa’s edge Mommy made a quick trip to Pittsburgh and ran the bridge into Pittsburgh. Many leaves have fallen and the girls like …
