So this happened. The boy officially turned 16. He took his knowledge test for his learner permit and did his 6 hours of mandatory driving. He now drives for a year before getting his license.

So far, he’s been fine. Me, a little less so. It’s hard watching these milestone steps. While we’re happy for him, there always is worry.

There was a quick trip to the shore with Mike’s family. It was a lot of fun. Zach and I arrived a little late because he was studying for the SAT. But we made the most of it once there. Lots of pizza. Ice cream galore. And beach time.

This guy…spent a solid 2 months studying for the SAT. We won’t know for 2 weeks the score but I can tell you this, the kid is smart. It’s the first official step towards the college process. And away we go!

We’re a week away from the start of school. Geez, where did the summer go. You can already feel the cooler mornings. Junior year, just wow. I hope he has the best year!
