Family

On Friday, I headed west for the SC-Stanford game. Despite much preseason hype, we found a national audience calling us overrated. Thankfully, we proved those doubters wrong with a convincing win. Love watching the Coli rocking in those types of games. And I can’t wait to get the boy out there to revel in it.

School Start

Last week, Zachary started his first week of school. The boy was a mix of nerves and excitement.  Remember those days. I never slept that night  and it always seemed like the day was done in a blur We were as ready as possible to start into second grade.  Part of me loves the routine …

1st Day

Today was Zachary’s first day of school. He has a bit of nerves and excitement, all rolled into one So, its official…we have a second grader in the house

Labor Day

We had a pretty quiet weekend. Wanted to keep it pretty mild with school starting this week.  We still found some time for fun Someone found a new sport And, of course, putt putt We made a quick trip to walk outdoors.  Someone opted for his scooter…which gets pretty scary down big hills The good …

Summer Fun

Two weekends ago, Zachary went to his best friend’s birthday party. And it was a hit. As in nerf gun wars. Does it get any better! IMG_3506 We then had Tyler over to swim.  Pretty cool watching the boys play together.  Even cooler that we love his mom and dad On Sunday, we met up …

Love

Pretty quiet week around here.  It’s the calm before the storm. School starts in another week, which means back to the routine.  Part of me dreads that routine…but the other part knows how fast those routines go and are suddenly gone.   So I chose to embrace it. I had a long conversation with Zachary …

OC

Random

Last week, Zachary participated in his first camp.  It was a 4 day baseball camp. And it was cool, watching him learn fundamentals.  We’re going to try a fall season with that team.  More fundamentals all fall…exactly what he needs.  Batter up ladies, he also gets a team uniform Last weekend, Zachary was off at …

Touch

A couple of weekends ago, the boys took another golf lesson. After the lesson, there was a little putting competition.  And the conversation became, feel versus measured mechanics.  Daddy strongly argued for Zachary to take the measured approach, count steps to the hole.  Pop Pop, meanwhile, is a feel guy.  So off, they went to …

Cow Town

We finally made our way to the local rodeo.  Something about watching Cowboys (and girls) bucking bulls that makes you want to see Hee Haw. We went with awesome friends who also have a seven year old.  Tyler and Zachary have been fast friends since tee ball.  Fun night  lots of horse riding, cattle and …
