Fifth Grader

Yesterday, we officially started fifth grade as a remote learner. His teacher is young and energetic, which I appreciate. I have to say, the first two days have gone pretty seamlessly. They are doing a combination of live teaching and pre-recorded lessons. With that said, you can tell it’s going to be a year of adaptation. As I told Zachary, you have to go in with the mindset, that there will be challenges, but the goal is working around the obstacles. I can’t wait to see how testing will take place, should be interesting.

Zachary has two more years at the school and then makes the jump to middle school. Crazy how fast the time goes. That was never so clear as when I looked at the above picture. He’s getting tall and is starting to look like a teenager. Should I be concerned that he’s up to my shoulders? And those pontoon feet continue to grow. Ladies, that great Korean hair is still in place….although now that we can get hair cuts, it looks a lot better.

So, we are off and running with school. Here’s to a successful 5th Grade.
