With so much hate everywhere, the Walking Monks arrived at just the right time. They are on a peace walk from Texas to Washington DC. They arrived today at the capital today in the bitter wind and cold, spirit not broken. I’ve been watching their journey on social media. They carry with them a message of being well, happy and at peace. it’s an important message for a nation in turmoil. Peace is still within us. We just need to find it and not let hate win.

The boy continues his baseball groove. This AM, we braved the cold, 30 mph wind and snow squalls. It was a tough session for him. He started with a ton of ground balls. But he kept battling. And by the end, he started to hit.

Not the best view, but my birds are hungry. Twice a day I restock. And it has me seriously considering another feeder. We get an assortment of birds. I love watching them.

So these little fox have met me at the park early in the AM for over a year. I hadn’t seen them in a few weeks with the cold weather. But yesterday morning, one showed up. It’s so cold for them out there. Hopefully, they are deep underground and away from this nasty cold.

As we head into a new week, may peace find you. There is so much to be grateful for.
