It’s been a week since the prep for snow Armageddon. We were forecasted for close to a foot of snow. And well, that semis to drive out the crazy in people.
It started with my normal early morning grocery run. The parking lot bring a little full should have been the first indicator. When I stepped in side…shocking evidence of craziness everywhere. No fruits and vegetables. Meat aisle with limited pickings. Only a few eggs left. People, the world wasn’t ending. Somehow, I managed through it with what was remaining. We did enjoy a good pot roast during the snow.
And then it began to snow. And snow…and snow. We made several trips out to shovel to stay ahead of it. By late afternoon, it became heavy sleet. So ice caked everywhere. By far the worse part was the driveway. Heavy ice made it slick. So we manually broke it up and shoveled it away. Back breaking work. Thankfully we did it because, with temps in the teens, the ice isn’t going anywhere.

And now for the weird part. This little girl is not a fan of wet, rainy feet. But throw in ice and snow.. and she becomes a little hell raiser, zooming around.
It’s been quiet the week. But we’ve managed. And the boy managed to not have school for 2 days which made him happy.
