WIR Halloween

So, this is the first Halloween where the boy won’t be out collecting candy. He’s officially aged out of that process. It’s a sad reminder that those are bygone days. We’ll still handout and watch the little ones scrambling around the neighborhood

So, I have been on furlough from work. We’ve hit the one month mark. But rather than stress, I have felt peace. It’s been a really tough 7 months as a federal worker. I’m spending the days back in nature, attempting to reground myself. Here I am with the pups at a local park.

I even managed to drag the boy out for a walk.

I have also been swimming a ton. That’s my happy place. There is something soothing doing laps. Unfortunately, the pool closed this week. Until next summer.

I also started filling my bird feeder again since the weather is getting colder. Someone has taken notice.

As we head further into the fall season and holidays, I’m happy to remind myself what really is important in life. This break has helped confirm this belief.
