Day 2

Today, we began our journey. In started off smooth enough. Lunch break near Van Wert. The young guys and I headed to Subway. While the older group, went to Arby’s. We played the license plate game and ended up with 30 total by the end of our first day. Bonus points for Alabama and 2 Canada plates.
Then the trip took another turn. Someone let my dad in charge of navigation. And true to form, he took the scenic route. Which while nice, added an extra 2 hours to the trip. No bueno. I’ve seen enough small towns in Indians and Illinois to last a lifetime. And by small, I mean populations under 1000

Then we ran into the rain. Lots of it. Some of it rather heavy. Still we ventured on. Did I mention the windmills.? They are everywhere near here. They certainly change the landscape of rural farmland.

After an eternity of driving we rolled into LaSalle, Il. That’s when the real adventure began. There was the hook up that didn’t go smoothly. My dad grabbed the shitter hose by hi right hand when Mike’s dad was telling him not to do. Just gross. Then there was the sink incident where it completely overflowed. Several of our previous towels were used to clean hat water mess
