Day 1

In a pouring rain, we picked up the RV. My dad and Zachary did the inaugural drive back to Bucyrus. Meanwhile, Mike’s parents headed to a campsite in Shelby while Cameron drove from Columbus with his family. We spent two hours loading the RV and miraculously it all fit.

To celebrate this small achievement we headed to Baker’s for pizza. And as the tradition goes, our local family came to join us. This time we brought Mike’s parents with us. I will always cherish these moments, always. It was a fun night spent with family. Lots of catching up and laughing.

My poor cousin Mark gets our four dogs in the morning. (I just hope JuJu is on his best behavior while we are gone, fingers crossed ). And Aunt Margie sent us off with goodies, including home made cookies. Top that off with time from Aunt Suzy and Uncle Dick and Uncle Dale and we are getting a wonderful send off.

I’ll say it again, our tribe is strong.
