Today, Mike ran the Dragon Rule 5K while the little guy and I walked the 1 mile event.  And the hubby did great.  I was just finishing my walk when he came racing toward the finish line.  Way to go daddy.
I have to admit.  It is a little hard not being able to run anymore (the hip injury was the final factor).  Sure, I do other forms of exercise, but there is nothing like the adreline from running.

When we finished, the little guy got a medal.  His first race.  And it’s a great race that started 5 years ago when a high school boy died suddenly from brain cancer.  His family started the race as a memorial and it has raised money which goes for scholarships.  A great community cause.
